How to use the online timer
Tap a preset like 5 or 10 min, or type a custom hours-minutes-seconds value. Press Start. Pause freezes the count; Reset takes you back to the original duration.
Common questions
- Will the alert wake the room?
- At full volume on speakers, yes. Test the sound at your planned volume before you rely on it.
- How long can the timer run?
- Up to 24 hours.
- Does it keep running in the background?
- Yes. As long as the browser tab is open, the timer fires at the scheduled moment whether or not the tab is the active one.
- Can I pause and resume?
- Yes. Pause freezes the count; Resume continues from there. Reset returns to the original duration.
- What if my computer goes to sleep before zero?
- The countdown pauses with the device and resumes when it wakes. For a guaranteed alert, keep the device awake (plug it in, disable auto-lock).
