How many hours until midnight?

This page counts down the hours, minutes, and seconds to midnight tonight, based on your device's clock and time zone. Midnight is when the date changes, so this is also the time left until tomorrow starts.

Is midnight the start or the end of the day?

This countdown fires when the clock hits 12:00 am tomorrow, or 00:00 in the 24-hour clock. Based on the 24-hour clock, midnight is officially the start of tomorrow (not the end of today).

If your flight or other important event is at 00:00, double check the date on your reservation to avoid problems.

What happens at midnight?

The countdown reaches zero and you'll see a simple celebration message. You can continue to midnight the next day with one click, or set a different countdown on the main page.

At midnight around the world, clocks flip to 12:00 or 00:00. For some people, it's the middle of a work shift, and night owls may still be "burning the midnight oil" on a project. Whatever your midnight counter is for, we hope it's worth the wait!
